FAIRMONT — Palatine Park just keeps getting bigger and better with the help of the Marion County Commission.
Earlier this summer the commission organized plans to install a bathroom near the old boat ramp, which county administrator Kris Cinalli estimates will be a $70,000 project. After its completion, the commission decided to expand that area by having a brand new pavilion built for Palatine Park’s guests to use.
The pavilion project is currently in progress and is estimated to be complete by the end of next week, according to county commissioner Rick Garcia.
The Petrucci Brothers Construction, LLC out of Farmington has been conducting the pavilion project, which began early last week. Garcia said they’ve been hard at work and should probably be ready to pour the concrete later this week, depending on the weather.
